While the Shallow Ford Foundation holds, invests, and manages the YCEF fund, an Advisory Board guides priorities and guidelines for the annual grants and serves as application reviewers. The Advisory Board further engages employers and the broader community in shaping how resources will be best used.
The Advisory Board is made up of 12 members, jointly appointed by the YCS Board and the Shallow Ford Foundation Board of Directors. Beyond the first year, all terms are one, two-year term. The Advisory Board includes employers, community leaders, representatives of YCS, school board members, recently retired teachers, and Shallow Ford Foundation Board members. After completion of a term, Advisory Board members may continue to serve on grant review teams, as needed. Please see members below:
